Establish the latest useful return time
Write down when you need the garment again, allowing time beforehand to inspect it and get dressed. A return at some point on departure day may be too late if you leave that morning. Ask about the collection cutoff, turnaround and any variation on the days of your stay. The word express alone does not provide a usable deadline. Have the process explained for the particular treatment your garment needs, such as laundering or a cleaning service offered.
Describe the individual items clearly
Check the care label and mention delicate areas or existing damage. Complete the required order carefully and count the items handed over. Keep your own record of that number. A shirt, trousers and scarf should not simply be described as one bag of laundry. Clarify the price and proposed treatment before handing over the bag. Not every property offers every type of garment care.
Retain something suitable to wear
Do not surrender your only appropriate garment for an important meeting while its return remains uncertain. Keep a suitable alternative or choose another time for cleaning. On a very short trip, taking enough fresh clothes and washing them at home may be simpler. The service should reduce luggage or effort; it should not create a new critical dependency within your appointment schedule.
Inspect everything on return
Count and check the items as soon as they come back. Also check whether they are dry and ready to pack. Report any discrepancy promptly to the responsible service rather than discovering it after leaving. Keep the order and receipt with your travel documents. If your departure time changes, inform the service early and ask which adjustment is genuinely possible.
